The Vavavato massif is a mountain range at an average altitude of 2000m between the Ankaratra massif and Vakinankaratra. The crystalline bedrock surfaces, and the landscape of pink granite chaos intensifies an unmistakably alpine atmosphere within a pristine and authentic setting: volcanoes, a myriad of lakes, jagged summits, villages and hamlets of singular character where animist communities dwell.
