But it is obligatory for child or adult, never vaccinated, who have stay more than 12 hours in the Africa countries or South America where the yellow fever is very endemic (case of frequent travel in many country) Recommended vaccine For other vaccination, it is like for all travelers recommended to be immunized against:

  • Typhoid and rabies for longer and distant travelers, especially for the child

Antimalarial treatment

We suggest you to take antimalarial treatment. The malaria can be easily detected, if you feel symptom like fever, shiver and sweat.  It just need a sting on the finger (available in the pharmacy) to know if you are contaminated. To prevent, it is important to protect you against mosquito by simple and efficient measure: repulsive, covering clothes and using mosquito net. This parasitic illness transmitted by bite of mosquito requires individual protection measure. This measure must take with medicine adapted in each person. So you must consult your doctor before your trip. You must too continue the treatment in France during some time according to the product used. Classification: zone 3. During your stay, and the two months after it, in case of fever, you must take antimalarial treatment. It is very important to signal your doctor that you have stay in Madagascar. We recommend you too to consult your doctor before your trip to update your vaccines.
