Madagascar is an expensive destination—not as one might think due to it being a "developing country." However, it offers a unique, emotionally rich, and unforgettable experience. Many who visit once are eager to return.
By traveling in a group, you gain significant financial advantages, particularly for transportation and accommodation:
Accounting for 40–50% of the trip cost, transportation can be a burden for solo travelers. Depending on the type of trip and regions visited, either a driver-guide or a separate driver and guide may be necessary.
Accommodation makes up 25–30% of the trip cost. Sharing a room (usually a TWIN with separate beds) reduces expenses. For families, FAMILY rooms are available, and solo travelers can opt for SINGLE rooms, though a Single Supplement (SS) applies.

Self-organized solo trips can be more expensive and less efficient. Planning everything, from logistics to activity coordination, without professional assistance can be daunting. Many agree they wouldn’t have managed as well on their own—Madagascar isn’t like any other destination!
Another benefit of joining a group trip with us is the friendly atmosphere! Meeting new people and sharing experiences creates a sense of well-being and security
At Détours Madagascar, we organize group tours to provide enjoyable travel experiences and assist those who cannot gather their own group to share costs. We ensure seamless group departures by handling logistics, transport, accommodation, activities, guides, field teams (cooks, trackers, porters for hikes), and eco-responsible travel kits.

Simply email us at contact@détoursmadagascar.com or register as a participant through the link for the trip you’re interested in.
If you want to extend your stay or arrive in Madagascar before the group trip begins, we can take care of everything!
