The first rays pierce the canopy of Masoala while the cries of red ruffed lemurs echo out. This peninsula of 235,000 hectares, a jewel of world heritage, reveals its secrets to patient walkers. Between turquoise lagoons and dense forest, the trails wind towards forgotten pirate villages, where Arthur and his hosts perpetuate the hospitality of wild coasts.
The trek crosses fifteen torrents with crystal-clear waters, climbs the rugged terrain of Makira where Indri-Indri launch their mysterious songs, then gradually ascends towards the desert plateaus of the Highlands. From bivouacs under the stars to village lodges, the journey reveals Madagascar in its raw truth - ancestral lands of coastal and mountain peoples, refuge of unique biodiversity in the world.
This twenty-day crossing unites two Madagascar: the tropical island of explorers and the secret altiplano of the high plateaus. A journey that marks souls to the rhythm of porters and local guides, far from conventional circuits.

Early in the morning, we set off on a naturalist circuit in the primary forest where we will have the opportunity to observe red ruffed lemurs (varecia rubra) in the trees of Masoala park. Birdwatchers are passionate about Prevost's broadbill which nest in this area.

Last day of trekking between Ankisaka towards Mandritsara
After breakfast, we continue our hike towards the Highlands with an extremely wild landscape. We walk on the plateau without villages a bit further into the desert.
Late in the afternoon, we arrive at Mandritsara, night at the hotel. Our car is already waiting for us for tomorrow's journey.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

More than 60 days before departure: 30% of the total price (deposit retained)
Between 60 and 30 days before departure: 50% of the total price
Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the total price

Obtaining a visa to enter Malagasy territory
Upon arrival in the territory:
The visa cost is €35 for a stay of less than 30 days.
It is easily obtained upon your arrival in Malagasy territory.
This applies to all airports in Madagascar that receive international flights.
Upon arrival in the terminal, upon exiting the plane, a corridor for passengers is dedicated to issuing tourist visas.

A tourist visa is required, issued upon arrival at Ivato Airport (Antananarivo) or online (e-visa). Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.
