How to choose your circuit in Madagascar?

The choice is made first based on the duration available and the regions you wish to combine. Since Madagascar is vast, we advise against overly dense itineraries: it's better to explore two regions in depth than to rush through four. A circuit of 13 to 17 days allows you to follow the RN7 from Antananarivo to Tuléar via Antsirabe, Ranomafana and Isalo, with a beach extension in Ifaty. To also discover the baobabs of Morondava, the Tsingy of Bemaraha or the north (Nosy Be, Diego, Amber Mountain), plan for 18 days or more, including one or two domestic flights to minimize the fatigue of rough roads.

Different types of circuits

Our cultural circuits focus on the Merina and Betsileo highlands, the workshops of Ambositra, the zoma markets and rituals such as the famadihana when the calendar allows. Adventure itineraries include trekking in Andringitra, crossing the Tsingy via ferrata, descending the Tsiribihina river by canoe or diving in Nosy Be. For family travel, we prioritize easy parks (Andasibe, Vakôna), short stages and lodges with swimming pools, alternating nature and swimming.

What is the best season?

The dry season from April to November concentrates most of our departures. April-May and September-October offer the best conditions: landscapes still green or baobabs in bloom, mild temperatures (20 to 28°C), active wildlife. July-August are cooler on the highlands but perfect for the west coast and whale watching off Sainte-Marie. We avoid January-March due to cyclone risk and road closures on the east coast.
