Akamasoa, Children's Dreams - Father Pedro

25 Years of Father Pedro's Action hundreds of thousands have already been rescued by Father Pedro and his humanitarian organization Akamasoa, in Madagascar. This year, Akamasoa celebrates 25 years of existence! 25 years of relentless struggle and the fight against poverty, but also of love for an excluded people. It all began with encounters with people living on the streets and at the landfill in 1989. It was impossible to stand idly by and simply watch. Action had to be taken! Thanks to the determination and courage of an entire team, currently composed of 484 collaborators, all Malagasy, and thanks to the generosity of countless men and women, 18 Akamasoa villages have been established and nearly 11,000 children are now in school. At the start, there were only a handful. The first teammates to join them were all volunteers. Because of them, 25,000 people today live in a city they built!
