SPLENDORS OF MADAGASCAR'S GREAT SOUTH, FROM RN7 TO FORT DAUPHIN VIA THE COUNTRY'S ANTANDROY COAST

This great 4x4 expedition takes us exploring Madagascar's South and Far South. We first venture into the Itasy region in the west, renowned for its unique landscapes of lakes and ancient volcanoes. Then comes the mythical RN7, passing through Antsirabe, Isalo National Park, further southwest, Tsimanampetsotsa National Park. We reach the Far South of the Great Island at Cape Sainte-Marie, then continue on the track to Fort-Dauphin, discovering the vast sisal plantations of Amboasary Sud. The magnificent Bay of Lokaro awaits us, as does the Evatraha peninsula, which we will explore in depth.

We cover all the must-do hiking routes of the Central Highlands. The Andringitra massif offers a high mountain atmosphere. Then, landscapes reminiscent of African savanna intensify, enriched by the tortured magic of the Isalo National Park's ruiniform massif. As we approach Tuléar, the Mozambique Channel appears. At Ifaty, we savor the gentle tranquility of the West Coast home to Vezo fishermen.
